This year, Fairfood celebrates 25 years of championing smallholder farmers and advocating for a fair, more sustainable food system. It’s a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come and to look ahead with renewed energy for the work still to be done.

Smallholder farmers are at the heart of our mission. They play a crucial role in global agriculture, yet continue to face challenges such as poverty, climate change, and an increasing demand for sustainability and traceability. These are complex issues, but they are not impossible to overcome—especially when we work together.

Our brand-new 2025-2028 strategy is built on the belief that change happens when farmers are equipped with the tools, resources, and opportunities to thrive. We aim to launch a series of groundbreaking programmes to transform the lives of 1 million farmers and their family members. We integrate them into digital, traceable, and market-driven supply chains, ensuring them a sustainable and prosperous future.

This journey is about more than food—it’s about fairness, resilience, and the shared responsibility to build a brighter future for farmers and all of us.
